Our Story
The Spinners Mill is an independent, female-founded podcast studio based in East Belfast. We established the studio in 2024 with a shared aim: to create a space where storytelling, sound, and technical craft are treated with care.
Between us, we bring over twenty years of experience across film, music technology, audio production, and media. One of us trained in film at Queen’s University Belfast. The other studied music technology and sound, alongside arts, culture, and media, with a particular focus on narrativity and cultural sociology. That combination shapes how we work.
We understand both the technical infrastructure required to produce high-quality output and the cultural responsibility involved in publishing it. We work directly with every client.
There are no account managers or internal departments. The people you meet in your consultation are the people who record, edit, and develop your project. This might mean longer time scales for production, but we think it is worth the wait
